Martine Piron Marshall is a graduate of the University of Paris in her hometown. After finishing her Master’s degree, she did post-graduate work in teaching French at Cambridge University in England. She has taught French at the high-school and middle- school levels in England and the United States and at language institutes for adult students in Paris, where she also taught English at various elementary schools around the city. She has worked on a number of translation projects involving scholarly, business, and technical literature. In her second decade of teaching, she was a French professor at the University of South Carolina in Beaufort, prior to becoming a proud Beaufort Eagle. She’s proud also of her French Honor Society students and all those who remember the wide world where French and so many other languages are spoken. Here she lives with her husband and three children.
