Hello My Name Is...

Virginia Anderson

Anderson

Welcome.I am a highly qualified teacher in the visual arts. This is my sixteenth year teaching art at BHS and I still find joy in the process on a daily basis. I believe that bringing energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and my belief in and commitment to lifelong learning will encourage my students to commit to the same principles. I love art and the creative process. I earned a BFA from SCAD with a major in Illustration in 1985 and worked in my field as well as numerous other professions. In 1999 I decided to go back to school to get my teaching certificate from AASU in Savannah. I finished  my Master’s degree in Art Education from the University of Nebraska in 2016.  Teaching is not always easy, but it is always rewarding, to see the growth of students and to realize that as a teacher I can be a positive and inspiring influence in the lives of my students is one of the best parts of the job. I look forward to this new school year with all its possibilities.
